Having a decent health day (at this point even slightly good health days are wonderful!), my purring kitty rubbing against my leg and giving me headbumps, getting to see my fiancé (and even just talking on the phone with him), crocheting, getting compliments on my art, my friends being there for me on a bad day, playing D&D... there's a lot of little things that make me happy. :)

Total honesty is always possible; I don't do things any other way. Desirable... well, my honest streak has gotten me into trouble a lot (I have a habit of not thinking before I say things; wee, Wisdom of 7) but at least people know that they will always hear the truth from me. Josh knows I'll never lie to him, my friends know I'll never misguide them. To me, hearing the truth is much better than your loved ones telling you what they think you want to hear. You can be polite and nice and still be honest.

They would just say "geez, your email is boring" and stop reading it. 90% of my emails are businessy/art things and the rest are emails with a good friend that mostly involve us talking about health problems, art, and daily life.

This year I'm not mailing out cards (I'm far too broke, hence my expired paid account *misses my userpics*), but I'm thinking that I want to make some in Paintshop and email them to people. I thought this was delightfully dorky, so I wanted to post about it. ;) One of my friends does The Sims edits and stuff like that for The Sims 2 and she decided to use my character for modeling Starfleet TNG uniforms that she designed. That, combined with the goofy screencaps and captions she blogged totally made my day. And my character gets to hang out with Data, so extra awesome. Yeah, I have a crush on him. ;) If you want to see her screencaps, they're here.
